RAYON PciPort Card DOCUMENTATION FOR NT
               -----------------------------------------

   DRIVER INSTALLATION

If you currently have an driver installed, please remove it .After
removing the driver, reboot your system. This is necessary because
NT will not allow a new driver to be installed until the driver
      is unloaded from memory.

Once Windows NT has started, login using an account which has
administrative rights. Start the [Control Panel] applet by double-
clicking it icon in the [Program Managers] main group. In the
[Control Panel] applet, double-click the [network] icon to bring up
the Network Control Panel Applet (NCPA). Within the NCPA, select
the [Add Adapter] button. A list of possible adapters should be
        displayed.

Go to the end of the list and select:
                        '<Other> Requires disk from manufacturer'

When prompted for the path, specify the drive and directory where
the NCPA can find the new driver for the platform you are installing.

For example, if you were installing P584 adapter from your drive A:

                a:\p584\nt4 ------for P584,P485 card

                a:\p588\nt4 ------for P588,P8485U card

                a:\p220\nt4 ------for P220,P422I,P232,P422N card

                a:\p984\nt4 ------for P984,P985,P924 card

The important thing to remember is to supply the correct directory.

You can now follow the configuration dialog boxes to finish installing
        the P588\584 Driver.

Note for multi-P588/P584 card installation.

 1. We can install upto two P588 and two P584 cards in one NT system.

 2. When we need to install two same P588/P584 cards in one NT system, we must
let one card to have jumper ON and the other card to have jumper OFF.

 3. The card with jumper ON will have the low COM port number. The card with
jumper OFF will have the high COM port number to follow the jumper ON's
    card.

 4. If user install two cards with jumper ON or OFF simultaneously, we can
not confirm which card will active.

 5. If user install P588 and P584 card in one NT system simultaneously,
please confirm that the COM port number do not overlap. Or you may have
only one COM port to be actived. Of course this condition must be
confirmed with other COM port card in the same NT system.
