   DRIVER INSTALLATION

1. Please confirm that you have jumper ON to set your first P584/588 card
   in first card location.

2. Change your active directory to Windows 3.1 system's director.
      ex. C:\WINDOWS

3. Insert our driver diskette to your 3.5 inch disk. ex. DRIVE A.

4. run the installation file "RAYON" in our driver diskette.
     ex. A:\WIN31\RAYON

Note: This installation batch file will copy all the necessary file from
driver diskette to Windows 3.1 system directory.

5. run the COM port preparation file "PCIPORT" in current Windows 3.1 system
directory to specify the target COM port number.
     ex. C:\WINDOWS\PCIPORT <COM Start>

Note:
  a) <COM Start> value is the first card's COM port start number. If user
do not give this value, we may have default value 3. Then the first
card's COM port number will be from COM3.

  b) "PCIPORT" file will modify the "system.ini" file in Windows 3.1 system
and "autoexec.bat" file in root directory. We will prepare one backup
file "autoexec.ray" and "system.ray" for your original "autoexec.bat"
     file and "system.ini" file.

  c) The available value for <COM Start> is 3--9. It is due to Windows 3.1
     system can only support COM1--COM9.

you may need to check following procedure to have your new value.

number. You can have extra COM port in your boot procedure automatically.

Note for multi-P588/P584 card installation.

 1. We can install upto two P588 or P584 cards in one Windows 3.1 system.

 2. When we need to install two P588/P584 cards in one 3.1 system, we must
let one card to have jumper ON and the other card to have jumper OFF.

 3. The card with jumper ON is the first card. The card with
jumper OFF is the second card. We can specify the start COM port number
for first card and second card will have next COM port number follow
    first card.

 4. If user install P588 and P584 card in one 3.1 system simultaneously,
please confirm that Windows 3.1 system can only support COM1--COM9.
For any port with COM number larger than COM9 will be no use.

 5. P584/P588 card can be used in interrupt shared mode. PCI BIOS will
assign the interrupt for each P588/P584 card. For multi-P584/P588 card
we can have same IRQ. But user must confirm that one system have
one IRQ or more to be assigned in P588/P584 card. If there are no IRQ
